Thank you for using Shelly. By downloading or using the app, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully.

1. App Services

1.1 Features

Shelly provides screen time management features including: app blocking using iOS Family Controls APIs, screen time tracking and analytics, custom blocking schedules and durations, app category blocking, and historical usage data.

1.2 Pricing and Subscriptions

Shelly offers subscription plans that may include weekly, monthly, or annual options. All prices are shown in your local currency within the app. Payment is charged to your iTunes account at purchase confirmation. Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the current period ends. You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your iTunes Account Settings. Upon cancellation, you retain access until the end of the current billing period. No refunds for unused portions of a subscription period. Prices may vary by region and are subject to change.

1.3 Refund Policy

Shelly does not collect credit card information for App Store purchases, so we cannot provide direct refunds. For refund requests, please contact Apple Support directly.

2. User Rights and Obligations

2.1 Age Requirements

Shelly is available for users of all ages. Users under 13 must have parent or guardian consent. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account.

2.2 Acceptable Use

You agree to: use Shelly only for lawful purposes, not circumvent or attempt to bypass the app's blocking mechanisms, not reverse engineer or extract source code from the app, not use the app in ways that could damage or overburden our infrastructure, and take responsibility for all activity under your account.

3. Privacy and Data

3.1 Data Collection

Shelly prioritizes your privacy: screen time data stays on your device, we collect only what's necessary to provide and improve our service, and we will never sell your personal data to third parties.

3.2 Data We Collect

We may collect contact information (email address and user identifiers for account management and support) and usage data (non-personal information such as crash reports, feature usage, and app open frequency to improve the app).

4. Intellectual Property

4.1 License Grant

Shelly grants you a non-transferable license to use the app on Apple devices you own or control. You may not copy, modify, or create derivative works of the app; reverse engineer, disassemble, or attempt to derive source code; distribute or make the app available over a network for simultaneous use on multiple devices; or transfer or sublicense the app to third parties.

5. Service Changes and Termination

5.1 Service Modifications

We reserve the right to modify or discontinue any part of the service, change subscription prices or availability with reasonable notice, and update these terms with advance notification.

5.2 Account Termination

We may terminate or suspend access to Shelly for violations of these terms or for any other reason at our discretion. Your rights under this agreement terminate automatically if you fail to comply with any terms.

6. Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability

6.1 No Warranty

Shelly is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We disclaim all warranties including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

6.2 Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for inability to access blocked apps or consequences of app blocking/unblocking, screen time tracking accuracy, service interruptions or availability issues, any losses, damages, or consequences resulting from your use of the app, or personal injury or incidental, special, indirect, or consequential damages. In no event shall our total liability exceed $50 or the amount you paid for the app, whichever is greater.

7. External Services and Links

Shelly may enable access to third-party services and websites. We are not responsible for examining or evaluating the content or accuracy of third-party services. Your use of external services is at your sole risk and subject to their own terms and privacy policies.

8. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, excluding conflict of law provisions. Any disputes shall be resolved in accordance with applicable law.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Changes become effective 30 days after posting or as otherwise communicated. Your continued use of Shelly after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the modified terms. If you don't agree with any changes, please stop using the app.
